Your Second Visit to Our Royal Oak Practice

We will explain what chiropractic care can do for you!

If adequate time is available in our schedule and with yours, you can come back the same day as your initial examination for your report of findings and your first adjustment. If you cannot return later in the same day, your second visit or report of findings visit can be on your next available day. We have found through experience that explaining things with you in your report of findings before your first adjustment answers most initial questions and makes the patient feel more at ease.

If you are in extreme pain however and can't come back later, you can stay in the office while your x-rays are reviewed and be adjusted on your first visit. While you may have to wait up to an hour depending on our schedule, we will do our best to make room for you as soon as possible in the schedule and adjust you before you leave the office. We will perform your report of findings and review your x-rays with you on your next visit if time doesn't allow on your initial day.

Take a look to see what to expect during your regular chiropractic visits.

Dr. Upchurch Asks some important questions of interest to Royal Oak residents - Chiropractor Royal Oak Dr. Upchurch Asks...

What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Royal Oak parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
Are chiropractors just concerned with the spine?
Our interest in the spine is because it covers the major communications conduit between your brain and your body. As a Royal Oak chiropractor my job is to locate areas (usually along the spine) that interfere with proper nerve communications to and from your brain. Chiropractic adjustments help restore nervous system integrity. In this way, chiropractic care can affect the function of your entire body.
