Since we use appointment times to schedule your visit, your wait will not be long. After signing in, you will either be given a room in which to lay down or you may have to wait just a few minutes until a room is available. When you enter an adjustment room, we insist that you have the opportunity to rest on a table before the doctor enters. This makes for a better chiropractic adjustment.

When the doctor enters he will ask you how you are doing, check your spine for changes and proceed with the adjustment. After your adjustment the doctor will answer your questions and often ask you questions about your condition in order to teach you and keep you informed. Depending upon your condition you may receive a form of cervical, lumbar or full spine traction before, during or after your spinal adjustment.

In all, your time in the office will not exceed 20 minutes unless your condition requests additional time on a certain day. If you are undergoing spinal decompression, your visit will be increased by an additional 25 minutes.

What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Royal Oak parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
