Dr. Upchurch is a member of the Michigan Chiropractic Association and has been since 1986. He has served as a Board Member, District President and Committee Chairman. He continues to support the efforts of his state association and advocates all new chiropractors to the State of Michigan join this association.

International Chiropractic Association

Dr. Upchurch has been a member of the ICA since 1985. He also advocates that all chiropractic students and new graduates join a national chiropractic association, especially the ICA.

Dr. Upchurch has been adjusting new born babies, infants and children since he was a student at Life Chiropractic College. He had the pleasure of learning from Dr. Larry Webster, one of the countries leading pediatric and obstetrical chiropractor, when he was a student at Life. He has been a member of the ICPA since the late 1980`s.

Dr. Upchurch is also a member of a local BNI chapter and has been since 2004, when the group was first started. This valuable business resource allows him to form personal relationships and trust with fellow local business owners. In this way he personally can recommend people he can truly trust to his patients, staff, family and friends when they need a referral. He has also served as president of the chapter and is more than happy to provide information regarding the group.

Since Wagner Park, one of Oakland Counties premier disc golf courses, is located directly across the street from the office, Dr. Upchurch has been supporting the disc golf movement for quite some time. Starting with 2005, Dr. Upchurch has sponsored the Royal Oak Open disc golf tournament. This supports the local community and gives the participants the opportunity to perform better with Chiropractic help.

Dr. Upchurch has been involved in athletics since high school and firmly believes that staying in shape is crucial for a healthy life and longevity. He recently had the opportunity to participate in a men`s fitness competition in Tampa. This event was held in conjunction with a women`s competition in which participants from all over the country competed and had a tremendous amount of fun. The participants, while being very serious athletes and competitors, still showed a tremendous amount of support for each other, which is a tribute to their character.
